Monthly Meet-up: Psychologists supporting psychologists

Holding space for others during these emotionally charged times can be challenging and without support can lead to vicarious traumatization, burn-out, and emotional exhaustion. The monthly meet up is a safe place to download some of the tension built up from holding emotional space for others and manage your own reactions to the daily current events that are impacting us all. We will use restorative yoga, meditation, PLAY, and self-care rituals to set an intention for the meet-up. Time for sharing and discussion will be interspersed with activity and spontaneous application of tools for coping. A small group setting will help create a trusting environment. Teen I: Yoga Tools for Anxiety

A five week workshop for adolescents ages 13-15. Focus will be on understanding the basics of anxiety and learning breathing, meditation, yoga asana (postures), mantra (statements/intentions/chant), and mudra (hand gestures) tools specifically targeting anxiety and stress reduction. Group is limited to six participants. We will combine talking about anxiety and practicing tools over the one hour session lasting five weeks. Prepare to laugh, have fun, ask questions, and reduce your stress! An initial meeting is required to screen prior to group participation.  Call or email to sign up $375 for five weeks

Four week Yoga For Anxiety Workshop

An ongoing workshop offered throughout the year

$325 for four sessions

4-week workshop series to learn restorative yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditations, and mudras specific to anxiety reduction. The workshop is structured as a twenty-minute educational session focused on understanding the mind/body connection and learning about how the nervous system responds to stress and how yogic practices can reduce this response. We will learn and practice asana, meditation, and breathing sequences to reduce anxiety. The workshop concludes with twenty minutes of processing your questions and discussing your experience of the practice. A home study component will be provided so that you can continue to practice throughout the week and bring questions to the next session. This workshop is open to all especially individuals new to yoga and mind/body therapy for anxiety reduction. Whether you are coping with daily stresses and hassles or have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder this workshop can provide you with accessible and practical strategies for immediate anxiety relief. Limited to 4 participants.
